More Music!

8-Bit Gamer
My solo music project, Panda Plays Punk, has just put a new piece on YouTube and SoundCloud called "8-Bit Gamer." This time, I drew up some art to go with the song.
"Stargazer" - The song is now on iTunes...and practically every other online music store I could find... There's a player of the final version on the sidebar.
Here are the lyrics, an old demo, and a newer demo.
So please buy it! You'll have to search for it in iTunes, though. (Searching "Cracked Perspective" should work) Thanks!

Vocab Flashcards

We're reading To Kill a Mockingbird in English right now, and my English teacher is having us do vocab flashcards.
The biggie: it needs pictures.
WOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!
To show my visuals of words, to get more laughs, and because I need some doodles to put on the blog, I'm putting these up online.
Have fun!

MoneyMoneyMoney, Part II

WOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My parents said that they'll foot my microphone bill for Christmas! I'll just have grab my mom a Christmas gift (My dad will be happy just to sit in front of the TV for the entire day.) and give the rest of my cash balance to her I'll give my cash to Dad and I'll have my mic AND any extra goodies to connect it to my parent's MacBook for my studio work!

So yeah, once that is all sorted out, I'll have a mic (a good one), and I can start some real work on Cracked Perspective.

Super happy.

Update, 12/23/10: The mic is here! Now I need a cable to connect it to my parent's Mac.
Update, 1/2/11: The cable's here!. Now I need to actually get around to setting it up. Me being my lazy self, that'll be the hardest part of getting the mic.

MoneyMoneyMoney

So I'm thinking of getting a microphone. But apparently, to get an okayish mic with an external soundcard to connect it to a computer costs...$200.
As of this writing, I have $36.
I have to raise $164
Woo.
I can:
-Wait 8 weeks at minimum and save. Not happening.
-Negotiate a higher allowance. Yeah, right.
-Grab a loan from my parents. Am I kidding?
-Do odd jobs. Okay, but probably not fun.
-Somehow get my engineering ideas on my other blog to people that can turn it to reality and shower me in the green. I'm daydreaming now.
Any other ideas? Any jobs in the Greater Boston area? Any people that could turn my ideas on my other blog into cash? (STOP DAYDREAMING AJEY!!!!!) Please comment!

Update: I'm getting a new mic for Christmas!

Experment

I'm a violinist of five years. I also have a keyboard, complete with synth. Which gets me wondering, "What if I could hook up, say, a distortion pedal to my violin?" I guess I could hook a mic up to a pedal and play my violin into the mic, or maybe I could buy myself an electric violin. How much cash would that force me to raise?

Advice For An Upstart Band With No Resources

I started a band a few weeks ago, called Cracked Perspective. It's me and another kid. As a band we have:
-A keyboard
-A violin
-A MacBook
-An iPod Touch
-A small studio
-The best singer that does not have a record deal
-$16
I have a few questions:
-I've written a few songs and made an instrumental. Should I made a whole series of demos or send one demo now and record the rest with listenable quality?
-I'm a BAD songwriter, but people don't like ghost writers. Should I do a lot of collaborations? Or should I just suck it up and write?
-Where should I send my music? To a big music label? To an indie label? Or should I be an impertinent nitwit and make my own label?
-Do I really need better equipment? How much $$ do I need to raise?
Please Help! Thanks!
